We cater for small to medium sized building projects both commercial and domestic including design of new buildings, refurbishment and alterations and conversion and extension of existing buildings. We adopt a step-by-step procedure as follows:

Inception

This involves meeting with our clients to discuss their requirements and needs and to get a general feel for the type of design required. We then proceed with a measured building survey and based on our interpretation of clients’ requirements we provide various sketch proposals for agreement.

On agreement of the sketch design we then provide detailed fully dimension drawings complete with technical specification to ensure compliance with all aspects of the current Building Regulations.

Planning Application

We then submit a planning application to the relevant Local Authority and deal with issues of further information, as they are required. With works to commercial properties we also provide a Fire Safety Certificate application and amend the drawings to highlight compliance with the requirements of current Building Regulations and the various BS standards or other requisite codes.

On Site Supervision

We provide a full and partial supervision service whereby we carryout interim inspections during the construction of the property to ensure compliance with the building practice and the requirements of the current Building Regulations. Upon completion of the works we provide a Certificate of Compliance with Planning Permission and Building Regulations together with a Snag List of any defective or outstanding items of work.

A full supervision service involves preparation of tender packages and advice in the selection of a competent builder. We also advise on the relevant form of contract also suitable for the project in question and arrange a brief contract meeting to ensure that all aspects of the drawings.
